Former Arkansas Pastor.
Harrison, Feb. 14 - The Rev. Sam Marrs, 57, pastor of the Patton (Mo.) Presbyterian church the past three years and former Harrison resident, died at his home following a heart attack last night.

He was born near Berryville, Carroll county, but moved with his parents to Harrison in early childhood. He
was the youngest of a family of 11 children born to the late Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Marrs.

He served as pastor of the Presbyterian church at Cane Hill, near Fayetteville, for many years. A son, the Rev. Charles Marrs, is pastor of the Mountainberg Presbyterian church.

Surviving also are his wife, two other sons,
John and James Marrs, and a daughter, Miss Janet Marrs, of the home; five sisters, Mrs. A. B. Andrews of Little Rock, Mrs. A. B. Wilson of Green Forrest (sic), Mrs. W. G. Clark and Mrs. J. W. Hill of Harrison, and three brothers, N. L. of Briedsville, Mich., S. B. of Norman, Okla., and J. F. Marrs of Harrison.

The body will be brought to Harrison Sunday for funeral services and burial.
