He was born in Jane Lew on June 12, 1920, son of the late Thomas Albert Freeman and Myrtle Ivy (Gay) Freeman.
His wife of 63 years is Marjorie Joyce (Phillips) Freeman, who survives.
Also surviving are one brother, Leland J. Freeman and wife, Linda; four sisters, Helen Jones, Mary Thompson, Betty Allman and Mildred Trezise and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph B. Freeman, John Robert Freeman and Thomas Albert Freeman Jr.; one sister, Hannah Chamberlain and one infant sister.
Mr. Freeman was a retired foreman with Ford Motor Company of Detroit, Michigan. He was a veteran of WW II, serving 39 months overseas as a private first class in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Ford Union and was an Episcopalian by faith. Mr. Freeman was a Detroit Tiger baseball fan and loved to hunt and fish.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue, Weston, on Friday, March 27, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Father Jeremiah McSweeney officiating. A prayer service will be held on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow services in the Broad Run Cemetery of Jane Lew.
