Obituary from the Clarksburg, WV Exponent Telegram, May 31, 2013: Mildred “Midge” Freeman Trezise, 90, of 207 Second Street, Jane Lew, WV, went to be with the Lord on May 28, 2013, at her residence. She was born in Harrison County, WV, on May 17, 1923, the only daughter of the late Thomas A. Freeman and Ivory Myrtle Gay Freeman. She was married to the late Charles Trezise, who preceded her in death in 1988. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Trezise was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers, Helen Jones, Hanna Chamberlain, Mary Thompson, Betty Allman, Virginia Freeman, John Freeman, Charles Freeman and Ralph Freeman. Mrs. Trezise is survived by one son, Gene Freeman and his wife Connie of Jane Lew, WV. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Brandy Freeman of West Milford, WV, Jeremy Freeman of Fairmont, WV, Breann Freeman of Jane Lew, WV, Natasha Freeman of Jane Lew, WV, and Tiffany Freeman of Jane Lew, WV; and 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Pete Freeman, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Trezise was a devoted Christian who faithfully attended church for over 70 years at the United Evangelistic Mission Church in West Milford, WV. Mrs. Trezise was a graduate of Salem College and was a teacher at Jane Lew High School, where she retired. Mrs. Trezise also loved to serve her the community, and she was on the Jane Lew City Council for 20 years and was treasurer for the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Mildred was also an avid WVU basketball fan who loved to watch and attend the games, and she also enjoyed watching, with her sister and brother, their nephew who dirt raced. Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home, 730 North Main Avenue, Weston, WV, on Friday, May 31, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 2 p.m., with Revered Ashby Titus and Reverend Bill Lanham officiating. Interment will follow Funeral Services in the Broad Run Cemetery in Jane Lew, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
