Frank Klauck, 89, passed away Thursday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Oscar Graf, Kiel. He was born November 16, 1861, in the town of Newton, Manitowoc county, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Klauck. On November 9, 1882, he was married to Miss Clara Mertens in the town of New Holstein.
The couple made their home in
the town of New Holstein, Kiel and Sheboygan, through the years, and for the past five years have lived at Kiel. The couple were married 68 years last November 19.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, John of Kiel, Jacob of Kohler, Oscar and Edgar of Chicago and William of Los Angeles; four daughters, Mrs. Oscar Graf of Kiel, Mrs.
Adolph Bruns of New Holstein, Mrs. Clara DeSombre of Sheboygan and Mrs. Florence Rottman of Milwaukee; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bernard, of Milwaukee; and two sisters,Mrs. Mary Meinert and Mrs. Margaret Hein, both of Kiel.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Meiselwitz Funeral home, Kiel, and at 10 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church. The Rev. F.X. Kheil will be celebrant of the requiem high mass and burial will be made in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 7 p.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
