August J. Klauck: He was born on March 6th, 1874, in Mequon, Wisconsin, which is in southern Ozaukee County, near Milwaukee, WI. He was the 10th born child of 14 total, to John Klauck II, and Mary (Maria) (nee Backes or Baches) Klauck, both of Prussian descent. As a young man August moved to the Marshfield Wisconsin area. At the age of 28 he was married to Miss Anna Johanna Lahr, the daughter of Nicholas and Augustine (nee Winkler) Lahr, of Marshfield. The wedding took place at 8:30 o'clock, on August 26th 1902 at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield, Wisconsin. There were 2 children born to them, Ermine in 1905, and Mary (Dolores) in 1907. August can be found on the 1910 census living in Cincinnati, Ohio. He lived there until at least 1917. As early as 1920 August was then listed as a cabinet maker in Grand Rapids Michigan and is believed to have lived there until his death in 1930.

August Klauck died on September 15th 1930. He was 56 years of age. His address at the time of his death was listed as 501 Scribner Ave., Grand Rapids. He died of pneumonia at St. Mary's Hospital, at Grand Rapids. His funeral was on the 18th of September 1930 in St. Mary's Catholic Church at Grand Rapids. He was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery at Grand Rapids.
