Norbert A. Stallbaumer died Monday, October 9, 1972 at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka, KS. He had been transferred there a few hours earlier after being admitted to the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital on Sunday morning. He was 55. He had been ill for the past five years.

He was born September 10, 1917, at St. Benedict, KS., the son of W.E. and Anna M. Engelken Stallbaumer. He spent his lifetime in the Nemaha County area. He attended school at St. Benedict.

On August 10, 1943, he married Marie Olberding at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Baileyville, KS. They lived and farmed the home place for three years until they moved to their present farm southwest of Seneca.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the St. Joseph's Society at the church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1769 at Seneca.

Besides his wife, Marie, of the home, he is survived by son, Thomas Stallbaumer, of the home; daughters, Mrs. Doris Leonhart, Topeka, KS; Mrs. Betty Bergman, Baileyville, KS; Diane Stallbaumer, Nancy Stallbaumer, Julie Stallbaumer, Karen Stallbaumer, all of the home; brothers, Walter Stallbaumer, Sylvester Stallbaumer, Eugene Stallbaumer, all of Seneca, KS; Melvin Stallbaumer, Corning, KS; Victor Stallbaumer, Baileyville, KS; Paul Stallbaumer, Centralia, KS; Herman Stallbaumer, Centralia, KS; sisters, Mrs. Edna Sack, Corning, KS; Mrs. Alma Sack, Denver, CO; Mrs. Mary Ann Huninghake, Baileyville, KS; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Seneca, KS. Burial was in the church cemetery.
