Kendall Grover Davidson, 85, of Archer, died June 12, 2008, at Madison Memorial Hospital of complications following surgery.

He was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Parker, Idaho, to Nathaniel and Ella Grover Davidson. He grew up in Parker and attended area schools. He served for three years overseas in the military during World War II.

On Dec. 19, 1945, he married LaMarr Davis in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Archer. He operated his own automotive repair shop, taught automotive repair and welding and served as transportation supervisor for Ririe school district.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings including bishopric, High Council and scoutmaster. He received the Silver Beaver award. He and LaMarr worked in the Idaho Falls temple for 22 years. His greatest loves were his family, friends and church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and bowling.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Kendall D. (Jerri) Davidson of Idaho Falls, Martin (Maylin) Davidson of Pocatello and Brad (Sandi) Davidson of Kimberly; siblings, Rula Ipson of Salt Lake City, Calvin Davidson of Montpelier and Beth Knapp of Idaho Falls; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Leland Davidson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, at the Archer LDS Chapel, with Bishop Reese Nelson officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. before services at the church. Burial will be in Parker Cemetery with military rites by the St. Anthony Veterans team.
