Nathaniel had things different. His father felt he needed him at home and would not let him go on a mission. He married Ella Grover on 5 June 1918 and lived at Parker most of his life and farmed. However, he did go on a mission when he was President of the Yellowstone Stake mission for six years and did real fine work. They had five children: Rulla, Leland, Kendall, Calvin and Beth.
