After 26 years, our loving mother has now joined her eternal sweetheart, the date of her passing is March 30, 2009.
Rula Davidson Ipson, 89, was born April 21, 1919 in Parker, Idaho to John David Nathaniel and Ella Spaulding Grover Davidson.

She completed schools in Parker and St. Anthony, Idaho. She served an LDS Mission in Northern California, serving as a cook in the mission home. She enjoyed cooking for many general authorities and leaders of the Church, her favorite was Harold B. Lee.

While serving in the mission home, she met her future eternal companion when he came in to receive his release at the end of his mission. She married Joseph Morrill Ipson in the Salt Lake Temple on April 4, 1946, he passed away December 11, 1982 after 37 years of marriage. They raised their five children in Junction, Utah where Rula resided until 2003.

She served in many positions in the LDS Church, was the secretary/treasurer for 3 water companies and was clerk of the Junction Town Board. She was a Richfield Reaper correspondent for 48 years for the Junction area. She remained busy and very active until her declining years. She spent the last six years living in West Jordan with her daughter, Linda.

Rula is survived by her children, Linda (Jeffery Thomas, deceased) Hughes of West Jordan, Joseph N. (LuNetta) Ipson of Hurricane, RueThella (Craig) Laub of Beryl, Mary Ray (Rick) Jacobs of Clearfield, M. David (Ruth) Ipson of Vernal; 25 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Calvin N. Davidson of Montpelier, ID. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sister, Leland R. and Kendall G. Davidson and Beth Knapp.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2009 in the Circleville 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Burial will be in the Junction Cemetery.
