Doris Speer, 73, route one, Morrison, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, March 20, 1994, at her home.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian church of Perry. Rev. Lynn Scott, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Sumner cemetery under direction of Brown Funeral home. Memorials have been established to benefit the First Christian church.

Mrs. Speer was born on a farm near Morrison on Sept. 5, 1920. She was the daughter of Chester and Susie Bowers. She attended Oak Grove and Pioneer rural schools.

She and Wayne Speer were married at Perry on Oct. 18, 1945. They established a home 11 miles east of Perry where they resided their entire married life.

Mrs. Speer was a member of the First Christian church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Speer is survived by one daughter, Jeanie Schardein, Glencoe; a son, Roger Speer, Stillwater; two sisters, Mildred Hughes and Myrtle Brewster, both of Perry; two grandsons, Greg Speer, Oklahoma City, and Robert Schardein, Glencoe;
and one granddaughter, Kerri Speer, Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
