Obituary: Lee Holm
Lula Lee Anderson Holm, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away March 3, 1999 after a valiant battle with cancer.
She was born March 26, 1932 to Edwin Hyrum and Emma Johanna Hedberg Strand Anderson in Lyman, Wyoming. Married Vernon R. Holm, June 9, 1952, in the Salt Lake Temple.Survived by her husband, Vernon; children, Roger (Pat) Holm, Janet (David) Broadbent, Ken (Michelle) Holm, Ann Marie (Whitney) Peterson, Lisa Holm, Julie (Sean) Noble, and 13 grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Elzinga, Lilly VanDyke, Enid Nordgran, Betty (Bryant) Rossiter, sister-in-law Charlotte
Anderson.
Lee was a very talented woman excelling in music, art, sewing, and cooking. She spent her life using these talents in the service of others. She was very active in the LDS church and held many church callings in the Relief Society, Primary, and Young Womens organizations. She particularly loved genealogy and temple work and spent many hours researching her ancestors and doing name extraction. She honorably served a mission with her husband at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and served in the Jordan River Temple for five years.
Lee dearly loved her family and special friends. She cherished her husband, children, and grandchildren and worked tirelessly in their behalf creating priceless gifts and treasures of remembrance. Lee was a mentor to many and a friend to all. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and aides at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Utah and Crosslands Health Care Center who kindly and lovingly cared for her during her final days.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 8, 1999,11 a.m., at the Cottonwood Heights 4th Ward, 2522 E. 6710 South. Friends may call Sunday, March 7, 1999 at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 E. 7800 South, from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services.
