Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Edwin Curtis Anderson, 73, died June 24, 1997 at his home of Alzheimer's.
Born November 8, 1923 in Cumberland, Wyoming, son of Edwin H. and Emma Strand Anderson. Married Charlotte Jones August 21, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nevada; solemnized June 16, 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduated from University of Utah in Mechanical Engineering. Served in the Navy during World War II as an Electronic Technician. He was an active musician and led the Curt Anderson Dance Band in Salt Lake, Helena, Montana and Blacksburg, Virginia. Served in the LDS Church as ward choir director, stake YM president, bishop's counselor, stake High Councilman, and bishop.Survived by wife; sons, Nathan E. (Melissa) Anderson and Eric C. (Daralynn) Anderson, both of Salt Lake City; daughters, Claudette (Wayne) Borrowman, Carmel, Indiana; Phyllis (Flint) Steele, Pasco, Washington; Jolene (Steve) Hiatt, Ephrata, Washington; 26 1/2 grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Carolyn Elzinga, Lily Van Dyke, Enid Nordgren, Betty Rossiter and Lee Holme. Preceded in death by grandson, Jonathan Eric Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 noon at the Bennion Heights Stake Center, 3045 West Bernina Drive (5820 South). Friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Lake Hills Memorial Park.
