“Death of P. Madison

Peter Madison died at his residence on Adriance street Tuesday [January 6] evening at 6 o’clock from kidney trouble. He was born in Denmark, and was 66 years of age. He came to California in 1857 and settled in Solano county. For the past 11 years he has resided in this city. He leaves a widow and six children - Mrs. Owen Murray, Mrs. H. H. Muller, Helen, Amy, Isabel and Henry; also two step-children, Jos. Henderson and Mrs. M. Mahan.

Date of funeral will be announced later.” END

“Funeral of Peter Madison.

The funeral of the late Peter Madison was held Saturday afternoon [January 10] from the residence of Owen Madison on Lincoln avenue. Rev. Richard Wylie officiated, and the following gentlemen acted as pall-bearers: Z. W. Garfield, James Keys, Capt. N. Wulff, Wm. Stoddard, J. W. Grigsby and Wm. Imrie. The remains were placed in the receiving vault at Tulocay cemetery.” END
