CLARKSTON--Mrs. Mary Ellen Barson, 86, wife of Peter S. Barson, died at the family home here Wednesday after a long illness.

She was born in Mill Creek, Salt Lake county, May 2, 1849. She married Mr. Barson Oetober 20, 1869, and they recently celebrated their sixty-sixth wedding anniversary The couple was married in the L. D. S. Endowment house in Salt Lake City, and resided for a short time in Mill Creek, later moving to Millville, and then to Clarkston, where they had since resided. Mrs. Barson was very active in L. D. S. church work during her life.

Surviving are her husband, seven sons and daughters and one adopted son, Hyrum and D. B. Barson, Mrs. Eliza B. Godfrey, Mrs. Ellen B. Godfrey, Mrs. Mattie Goodey and Mrs. Bessie Rasmussen, Clarkston; Mrs. Vilate Dahle, Logan; William Shepherd Barson, Dayton, Idaho; 36 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sat urday at 1 p. m. in the Clarkston L. D. S. ward chapel. with burial in the Clarkston cemetery, under the direction of the Richards mortuary.
