Ralph W. Burns, 77, of Olive Branch, I'll., died Thursday, Feb. 28, at Hillside Terrace Nursing Home, in Cobden, Ill. He was born on November 37, 1907 in Dongola, Illinois, the son of Samuel and Fanny Silvia Burns. He was married to Gertrude Reavis, who died on February 3, 1985. A retired carpenter, Burns was a member of the Alexander Freewill Baptist Church near Olive Branch. Surviving are three sons, Arthur Burns, Footville. Russell Burns, Janesville and Ed Burns, Milton, Wi. Three daughters, Juanita Parnell and Fay Light, both of Thebes, I'll., and Judy Bryant, Highland, Ind.; three brothers, Houston Burns, Dongola, I'll., Otis Burns, Olive Branch and Cecil Burns, Kenosha; one sister, Ella Ruesler, Cape Girardeau, Mo; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services held Dunday , March 3 at Alexander Freewill Church.
