Otis Burns, 75, of Olive Branch, died Sunday night at 9:10 p.m. at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born July 14, 1912, the son of Samuel and Fannie Sivia Burns. He was married on July 1933 to Goldia Kelley. He was a member of the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Olive Branch and was a member of Carpenter's Union Local No 640 of Metropolis. He is survived by his wife, Goldia of Olive Branch, two sons, Mickey Burns of Amarillo, Tex. and Bobby Burns of Granite City, three daughters, Vera Bridges of Alton, Sandra Berry of San Diego, Calm and Linda Powell of Amarillo, Tex, 16 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil Burns of Kenosha, Wis., and Houston Burns of Dongola, a sister, Ella Rusler of Cape Girardeau, MO and by nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Thelma Rose Little in 1975. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Olive Branch with Re. Ben Harris officiating. Internment will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
