Mary Katherine Novak, daughter of Emanuel and Katherine Richecky Lesovsky, was born January 23, 1902, near Cuba, and died December 20, 1991, at Heartland Care Center in Belleville at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 27 days.
She received her elementary education at Farmington Rural School near Cuba. She was united in marriage to Edward Huncovsky June 2, 1920, and to this union two sons were born. Her husband died in 1950. She was united in marriage to Edd Novak, November 3, 1955.
She was a lifelong resident of the Cuba community except for the time she lived at Heartland Care Center. She attended the Presbyterian church and Ladies Aid at Cuba. She cooked at the Cuba schools.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward, her second husband, Edd in 1971, her son, Melvin Huncovsky; six brothers, three sisters, two grandsons, Edwin and Darrell Huncovsky; two great-grandsons.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth of Cuba; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Cuba Presbyterian Church. Interment was in National Bohemian (Kopsa) Cemetery southeast of Cuba.
