Funeral services for Frank W. Siedel, 68, were conducted Thursday afternoon, Aug 4, at David City Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Lloyd V. Mohnkern officiated.
Vocalist was Mrs. Lloyd Mohnkern, accompanied by Mark McGee, Organist. Pallbearers were Frank Vlach, Elvin Stanek, Gerald Hayhurst, J.J. Papa, Kenneth Miller, and John Muller. Burial was in the David City Cemetery.
Frank William Siedel, son of Frank and Caroline Siedel, was born November 30, 1897 in Howard County Nebraska, and died at the David City Hospital, August 1, 1966.
At the age of two and a half years, he came with his parents to a farm in Butler County. He received his education in Butler County Schools.
He was united in marriage with Grace D. Bock on Feb 24, 1920, at Columbus. Four children were born to this union, all of whom survive him.
After their marriage they resided on a farm in Butler County until moving to David City in 1939. He was then employed by the State Highway Department for about 20 years.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Grace: four children, Gerald F. Siedel of Hyattsville, Md., Mrs. Edwin (Dorothy) Hunsche of David City, Ronald M. Siedel of Lincoln, and Dennis L. Siedel of Valparaiso: 7 grandchildren: four sisters Mrs. Frank (Anna) Bock of Bellwood, Mrs. George (Hannah) Supencheck of Fullerton, Mrs. John (Della) Zohner and Mrs. John (Minnie) Poeffel, both of Columbus.
His parents, one brother, Herman, and a sister, Lena, preceded him in death.
