HOLD RITES FOR JAMES F POTTER THIS AFTERNOON
Funeral services for James Franklin Potter, 62, were held 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist church with the Rev. R. Maurice Hall officiating. Burial was in Crown Hill cemetery.
Mr. Potter died early Sunday morning at his home on York street after being ill about 10 days.
He was born September 9, 1888 in Ray county, the son of Frank and Isabelle Tomlinson Potter. Mr. Potter had been a resident here about 5O years and was employed by the Missouri Power and Light company the last 18 years.
James F. Potter was married to Jessie Jones. He was a member of the American Legion and a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs Jessie Potter of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Goldie Lee Brooks, Long Beach, Calif.; a sister, Mrs Gertie Piercy of this city; four brothers, Clayton, ôf Long Beach and Grover, Cliff and Preston Potter of this city,; a granddaughter, Beverly Brooks, Long Beach; three stepsons, Clifford and Wi1liam Jones of this city and George of Illinois; a step-daughter, Mrs. Eva McGuire, Detroit, Mich.; and three step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were employees of the Missouri Power and Light company.
