Ray County Review 01-19-1905
Franklin Potter was born September 27, 1840, and died at his home in Excelsior Springs, January 18, 1905, aged 64 years. He leaves a wife and nine children, also many friends to mourn his death. He confessed his faith in Christ and united with the Christian church when young in years and lived a consistent Christian life until death called him home. Frank Potter was a good citzen, an excellent neighbor, a loving husband, a kind father and a friend to all.
He had been a invalid for many years and was ever patient in his afflictions, but when death came, he was ready and willing to go and his last words were of his heavenly home.
While a place is ever vacant in the home, let us comfort ourselves with the thot that it will not be vacant in heaven. A FRIEND.
