TO HOLD RITES FOR PRESTON POTTER, 58
Funeral services for Preston Issac Potter, 58, will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian church with the Rev. Harry R Ford officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.
Mr. Potter died 1:15 a.m. Monday at his home, 912 Homestead, after being ill about 20 years. The body will lie in state at Prichard Funeral home until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
He was born August 19, 1893, in Ray county, the son of William F and Isabel Tomlinson Potter, both of whom preceded him in death.
On July 5, 1913 at Liberty he was united in marriage to Dora Elizabeth Cunningham, formerly of County Kerry, Ireland. To this union were born five children. One son, Earl James, died in 1942.
Mr. Potter lived in this community all his life and was a carpenter by trade.
Surviving are his wife of the home; three sons, Edward of Powell, Wyo., Preston, Jr., of Van Nuys, Calif., and Harold of the home; one daughter, Isabel Weidenmaier of this city; three brothers, Grover and Clifton of this city and Clayton E. Potter of Long Beach, Calif; one sister, Mrs Gertie Piercy of this city; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
