Obit in The Anthon Herald, 4 November 1953, page 3: Orson DeWitt Castle, 92, a well-known businessman at Correctionville for almost 65 years, died Sunday morning, November 1, 1953, in a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Castle was born December 25, 1860, at Independence, Iowa. He came to Correctionville with his parents when he was eleven and resided here since. He was engaged in the jewelry and optometry business. Survivors include his widow, Dolly, a son, Paul D. Castle of Sioux City and a sister, Mrs. Anna Smith of Bend, Oregon. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 3, 2 p.m. in the Wilson-Hull Funeral chapel here with Rev. Robert E. Forrestero of Sioux City officiating, assisted by Rev. Charles Wallace, pastor of the local Methodist Church. Burial was in the Correctionville Cemetery.
