Alvy Clarence Smith, aged 90 years, of R 4 New Bethlehem Pa died Sunday, April 25, 1954 at his home.

Mr. Smith, a son of John W 1836-1894 and Sarah Hoffman Smith 1841-1919, was born March 31, 1864 in Armstrong County, Pa.

He was married to Mary Catherine Neese 1869-1950, who died four years ago (daughter of Jacob Neese 1836-1910 and Susannah Emery Neese 1844-1933.

The following children survive:
Snowie Francis Smith, at home;
Ira Russel Smith R 3 Mayport 1895-1977;
William Spurgeon Smith 1897-1988,
R 4 New Bethlehem;
Sarah Edna Kemp 1901-1980
R 4 New Bethlehem;
Mary Olive Harmon 1903-1973 R 2 Mayport;
Anna Martha Doverspike 1906-1977,
R 4 New Bethlehem; and
Margaret Ethel Snyder 1906-1956
R 1 Freeport, Pa.

Two children are deceased.

He also leaves 24 grandchildren. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. He was a member of the Eddyville Reformed church.

Funeral services in his memory were held in the Eddyville Reformed Church with the Rev. Raymond C. Strine officiating. Burial was made in the Eddyville cemetery under the direction of the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home, Hawthorn.
