11 Nov 1957: Abner Ditzler, 76, Fredericksburg Route One, was found dead from a heart attack yesterday at his farm. Deputy Coroner Dr. Harry Reed established the time of death 24 hours prior to the time he was found. Born in Schuylkill County, he was a member of the Lickdale EUB Church and the son of the late Levi and Annie Brandt Ditzler. He lived alone on his farm where he was self-employed. His wife Bertha (Anderson) preceded him in death one year ago. Survivors include two daughters, Sadie, wife of Schuyler Peiffer, Mrs. Grace White, both of Lebanon; two brothers: William Ditzler, Jonestown Route One; Rev. John Ditzler, Annville; one sister, Jennie, wife of Ray Wagner, Cleona; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews. [Lebanon Daily News]
