11 Nov 1974: The Rev William C. Deitzler, Jonestown RD 1, died Saturday evening at his residence. He was 90. Born in Lebanon County, he was a son of the late Levi and Annie Brandt Deitzler. He was a retired minister having served charges in Adams, York and Perry Counties before founding St. Elizabeth's Congregational Church in Lickdale in 1952. The church was completed in 1954, and he served as pastor there up until 1971 when he retired. The Rev. Mr. Deitzler served in the ministry for over 50 years. Surviving are three children: Lillie Brandt, Lebanon: William L., Jonestown RD 1, Bessie Swartz. Jonestown RD 1; 11 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren and 23 great great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Jennie Wagner, Cleona. His wife, the late Elizabeth Spitler Deitzler, died in 1948. (Lebanon Daily News, Page 2)
