17 Mar 1969: The Rev. J. C. Deitzler, 82, husband of Elsie Deitzler, 701 E. Main St.. Annville, died Saturday in the Good Samaritan hospital. Born in Fredericksburg, he was a son of the late Rev. Levi and Anna Grant Deitzler. He was the retired pastor of the Bellegrove and Water Works Evangelical United Brethren Church. He retired in 1957 after serving 42 years in the ministry. He was a graduate of Lebanon Valley College and a member of the Annville United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Dimpsey, Groton, Conn.; a brother, the Rev. William C. Deitzler, Fredericksburg; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Wagner, Cleona, and three grandchildren. [Lebanon Daily News]
