Our kind and beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Eva Orelia Torgersen Payne Haynes, age 91, died June 6, 1994 in Richfield, Utah.

She was born October 30, 1902 in Koosharem, Utah, a daughter of Torval and Josephine Tomine Fredricksen Torgersen. She married Harry Lamont Payne in the Manti LDS Temple, December 20, 1922. He died August 28, 1953. She married Jesse Bowen Haynes in the Manti LDS Temple, March 6, 1971.

She is survived by her husband of Salina; children, Lela and Van Taylor, Fremont, Utah; Lillian Underwood, Fredonia, Arizona; *Claudette Peterson, Redmond, Utah; Karon and Kurt Williams, Castle Dale, Utah; Shauna and Phylip Leslie, Cedar City; Val and Bernice Payne, Cleveland, Utah; stepchildren, Ruth and Loren Smith, Aurora, Utah; Othel and Linda Winget, Ferris Haynes, all of Grantsville, Utah; 27 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Lyn and Dorthell Torgersen, Sigurd, Utah; Rulon and Mabel Torgerson, Koosharem, Utah; Leland and Norma Torgersen, California. She was preceded in death by three sons and one daughter: Warren, Harold, Jerry and Evelyn Payne; a daughter-in-law, June Payne; four grandsons, two sisters, six brothers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 1994 at 1 p.m. in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the ward chapel in Koosharem Friday from 11 to 12:30 prior to services. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.

*Claudette Winget Payne Peterson is Eva's daughter-in-law. She was married to Jerry.
