KOOSHAREM--Reuben Maynard Torgersen, 77, died Tuesday, January 14, 1992 in
Koosharem.
He was born March 7, 1915 in Koosharem to Torval and Josephine Frederickson Torgersen. He married Opal Brindley October 10, 1935 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple June 24, 1946.
He was a farmer, livestockman, and timberman all of his life. He was a member of the LDS Church where he was a high priest. He served a mission with his wife to Adam-Ondi-Ahman.
He is survived by wife, Opal, Koosharem, three daughters, four sons and their spouses, Hal R. and Dorothy Torgersen, Somis, Calif.; Traval and Louise Torgersen, Sheril and Shelly Torgersen, Don and Melinda Torgersen, Ranae and Val Norman, all of Koosharem; Maydean and Jeral Oldroyd, Glenwood; Sharon and Mel Kleinman, Centerville; 39 granchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, Rulon Torgerson, Koosharem; Lynn Torgersen, Vermillion; Leland Torgersen, Marysvale, Calif.; Mrs. Jess (Eva) Hanes, Salina; Preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 1992 at 12 noon in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary in Richfield on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.and at the ward chapel in Koosharem on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery.
