Robert Fitch, 68, of Edinburgh died Thursday at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.

He was born Nov. 29, 1921, in Russell Springs, Ky., to Lilburn Fitch and Ethel Fitzpatrick. He was married Sept. 13, 1974, to Jacqueline Metcalf of Edinburgh. She survives, as do three sons, James McKee, Dennis Fitch and Christian David, all of Edinburgh; a brother, Willie Fitch of Edinburgh; five sisters, Dorothy Wooten of Edinburgh, Katherine Bartron of Salem, Annie Wade of Edinburgh, Margie Wooten of Edinburgh, and Wanda Chandler of Taylorsville.

He retired in 1966 from Graham Sawmill in Franklin.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Long Funeral Home in Edinburgh. The Rev. Douglas Smith will lead a funeral at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
