FITCH FUNERAL SATURDAY RITES
The Reverend Richard McCloud conducted funeral services Saturday afternoon at the Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home of Edinburg for Lilburn Fitch, 73, of 300 north Main Street, who was stricken with an apparent heart attack about 2:00 p.m. while walking on south Main Street. He was taken to the Johnson County Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Mr. Fitch, a retired saw mill worker, was born May 22, 1898, in Kentucky. He married the former Ethel Williams and she survives at 601 south Pleasant Street.
Other survivors include two sons, Robert Fitch of Edinburg and Willie Fitch of Indianapolis; five daughters. Mrs. Dorothy Wooten, Mrs. Annie Wade, and Mrs. Wanda Chandler of Edinburg, Mrs. Kathryn Barton of Salem, and Mrs. Margie Wooten of Bedford; a sister, Mrs. Cleo Roy, and a brother, George Logan Fitch, both of Columbia, Kentucky, 18 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Burial was at Rest Haven Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Donnie Wade, Sam Roy, Marvin Lucas, Reverend James Alexander, Ronnie Wooten, and Junior Barton.
