Harriet Baily obituary, Waynesburg Republican, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, 24 January 1907, page 1, column 7.

"Mrs. Harriet Baily, widow of Ellis B. Baily, deceased, died suddenly at the home of her son, Lloyd Baily, near Carmichaels, Tuesday evening, January 22, aged about 82 years, of heart failure. Mrs. Baily's death came as a great shock to her family and friends as she had not been ill, but suffering from a slight cold she did not take her accustomed place at the supper table that evening. Her son carried her supper to her, at which time she appeared to be in her usual health. In a short time, Mr. Baily returned to his mother's room and found her unconscious and she expired in a few moments. Mrs. Baily was a devoted member of the New Providence Presbyterian church and was a most excellent woman; highly esteemed by all her acquaintances. She was very active for one of her years. The following children survive: W. H. Baily, of Waynesburg; J. Ewing, Eli G., George E., J. Edgar, R. Lloyd Baily and Mrs. George F. Luse, all of Cumberland township. The funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p. m. Interment in the New Providence cemetery."
