He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church where he was a member of the Lutheran Men and was a former Church Councilman. He was a member of the B-L Masonic Lodge #138 and was a life member of the Lexington Masonic Lodge. Mr. Leaphart was a graduate of Midlands Tech and was a retired Master Electrician at Allied Chemical.
He died at his home.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, sons, daughter, brother, sisters, grandchildren, an honorary granddaughter, and best friends, D. and B. Creasman.
He was predeceased by a brother, Bivens G. Leaphart, Sr., and a sister, Aileen Hancock.
