Born in Lexington, SC February 19, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Jacob Early and Irene Shealy Leaphart and was a member of Mt. Horeb UMC, the Julia Rodgers SS Class and received a 10 year perfect attendance Sunday School Pen. She loved her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. Myrna loved the Gilbert Senior Center where she volunteered for many years and was chosen Volunteer of The Year several times. She also delivered Meals on Wheels and participated in the Senior Olympics. Myrna enjoyed playing the piano and harmonica and was an avid Gamecock fan.
Surviving is her brother, Gerald O. Leaphart, Sr., (Shirley) of Gilbert, and sister, Eleanor "Wiggie" Wessinger of Lexington, sisters in law, Edith Leaphart and Jackie Leaphart of Gilbert, brother-in-law, Melvin Hayes of Gilbert, 7 nieces and 8 nephews, 34 great nieces and nephews, and 12 great-great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Wyman A. Leaphart and Bivens G. Leaphart, sisters, Aileen Hancock (N. W.) and Nancy Hayes, and brother-in-law, Phillip Wessinger.
