Charles Ernest Holtzhauer, aged 68 years well known Kittanning Bricklayer and contractor, died at his home 112 North avenue, Sunday, Febrary 26, 1939, at 2:20 p.m. following a two month illness. He is survived by his wife, three sons, and one daughter; Fred of Detroit Mich; Delbert of New Kensington; William Nelson Holtzhauer; and Mrs. George McGaughey, both of Kittanning. Five grandchildren also survive. Funeral services in charge of the Rev. W. K. Morgan, pastor of the First Baptist church, will be held Tuesday, February 28, at 2 p.m. at the late residence. Interment will be in the family burial plot in the Kittanning cemetery.
