William Nelson Holtzhouer, 64, 1949 West Estes St., Chicago, Ill., formerly of Kittanning Highlands, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 1979, in Chicago. Born Oct. 14, 1915, he was the son of Earnest (Woody) and Cora (Lasher) Holtzhauer. He was self-employed. A veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Army. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Kittanning. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Fred and Delbert; and a sister, Elizabeth McGaughey. Survivors include his wife, Esther (Dickey) Holtzhouer; a daughter, Patricia McConnell, at home; a grand-daughter, Debbie Hughes Holtzhouer, also at home; and several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held in Chicago.

Mr. Holtzhauer a painter and decorator was born October 14, 1915 in Pennsylvania the son of Charles Woody Holtzhauer & Connie Lasher. He is survived by his wife Esther (Dickey) Holtzhauer. Cremation was made at Forest home Cemetery, Forest Park, Cook County, Illinois, funeral arrangements were under the care of BARR Funeral Home, 6222 North Broadway, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.
