HEBER - Mrs. Esther Brown Horner, 61, died at her home here Saturday at 1:55 p.m. after a lingering illness

She was born April 8, 1887, in Charleston, Wasatch county, a daughter of Isaac and Sina Murdock Brown. She was reared in Charleston.

She was married to William E. Horner and they moved to Heber where she had resided since. Mr. Horner is operator of the Heber light and power plant.

An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she had served as president of the Young Women's Mutual Improvement Assn. in Charleston and was active in the Heber Second LD S ward Relief society and Daughters of Utah Pioneer. She was well known in this area for her public readings.

Surviving are her husband two sons, Faris William Horner, Salt Lake City, and Glade Horner, Heber; three daughters – Mrs. Elva Ritchie, Charleston, Mrs. Avis Farley, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Vonda Huntington, Midway, Wasatch county; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph S. Brown, Richmond, Calif., and John A. Brown, Oakland, Cal.; and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Cummings, Provo, and Mrs. George M. Fisher, Park City.

Funeral services will be announced by the Olpin mortuary, Heber.
