Richard Gutshall died Saturday at the residence of his father Jacob Gutshall, one mile west of Carlisle Springs.
Four weeks ago he fell ill with typhoid fever and this caused his death. The deceased was about 23 years of age and was a brother of W.W. Gutshall and F.A. Gutshall, of Carlisle Springs.
Mr. Gutshall was an exemplary young man and had a large circle of friends and acquaintances among whom his death will be deplored. He was an earnest Christian and a member of the Reformed Church at Carlisle Springs.
