CHRIST MEYER
Funerl servies for Christ Meyer were held Friday, Dec. 3rd, at 2:00 P.M. from the Diamond Lake Lutheran Church with Pastor Daniel Olson offiiating Interment was in the Diamond Lake Cemetery.
Paullbearers were Arild Olsen, Stanley Meyer, Soren Meyer, Donald Christensen, Carl Christensen, and Glen Christensen, all nephews.
Mrs. Daniel Olson sang "Sometime We'll Understand" and the congregation, "Our Father has Light in His Window", accompanied by Mrs. Bessie Johansen.
Christ Meyer was born at Lake Benton on April 5, 1894. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith. On June 9, 1920, he was united in marriage to Carrie C. Christensen. They lived int eh Lake Benton Community all their lives, moving to town in 1963.
Mrs. Meyer pased away in January 1964.
For the past six months Christ had been living at the Tyler Lutheran Home where he passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Nov. 30.
He was one of the charter members of the Henry Sollie Post # 10.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two sisters and one grandchild.
Surviving are his six children: Harlan, Ivan and Marvin of Lake Benton, Mrs. Robert Bauman (Naomi) of Watertown, S.D., Mrs Willis Johnson (Marian) and Mrs. Willis Darnell (Shirley) of Berkeley, California; 29 grandchildren; two sisters, Anna of Clarkfield and Mrs. Thorvald Kyan (Ruth) of Aarhus, Denmark; two brothers, Hans and Peter of Lake Benton, along with many other relatives and friends.
