Naomi Bauman, age 88, of Sioux Falls, died on Monday, October 16, 2017. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 20, 2017 at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Ave. in Sioux Falls with burial to follow at Diamond Lake Cemetery in Lake Benton, MN.
Naomi Ruth Bauman was born on July 9th, 1929 to Christ Meyer and Carrie Christensen in Lake Benton, MN. Naomi grew up in Lake Benton and that is where she met and married Robert Bauman on March 30th, 1948. Their marriage produced 6 sons. They started raising their family on a farm near Watertown, SD and in 1968 moved Watertown where they lived until 2000.
Naomi worked at St Ann's Hospital in the dietary department for 22 years before going to work in the school system in Watertown part-time.
Naomi and Robert moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 2000 to be near family in retirement. Naomi belonged to a flower club and enjoyed crafts and ceramics. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandkids. She had 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Naomi went to heaven on October 16th, 2017.
Naomi is survived by 5 sons’, Leonard (Linda) Bauman, Sioux Falls SD, Dale Bauman, Phoenix AZ, Curt (Verzella) Bauman, Trent SD, Dean (Joan) Bauman, Amery WI, and Steve (Jan) Bauman, Worthington MN.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Robert Bauman and son, David Bauman.
