Ralph Barber, son of A.H. Barber, was born December 16, 1904, at Ransom, and departed this life June 11, 1957, at the Veteran’s Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 52 years, 5 months and 25 days. He was a member of the church of Christ, having been baptized December 12, 1930. His life was spent in and around Ransom, except for four years spent in the naval service of his country.

He was preceded in death by his mother, one brother, Harold, and two sisters, Leila and Elizabeth. Among the survivors are: His father, A.H. Barber; four sisters and four brothers, Edith Randall of Ransom, Henry Barber of Boulton, Iowa, Russell Barber of Tucson, Ariz., Blanche Meisner of Arvada, Colo., Jim Barber of Dodge City, Marie Paris of Pratt, Hazel and Bud of the home; a niece, Carol Dalrymple of the home; also a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from the church of Christ in Ransom with Bro. Lewis Stowe in charge. Interment was in the Ransom cemetery, with the Ransom VFW in charge of military rites.
