Lois Strachan
Mrs. Lois Strachan, 84, resident of Jackson formerly of Carrollton, died of cancer Monday, December 11, 1995, at her residence in Jackson.
Mrs. Strachan who was the daughter of W.N. and Cora Guin Strachan was a native of Ittawamba County. She was the widow of the late Claude C. Strachan and a member of the World Wide Church of God in Jackson. Donations may be made to Sta-Home Hospice, 358 Briarwood Drive, Jackson, Ms. 39206.
Graveside services were held at Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 13. The Rev. Ken Courtney officiated.
Survivors include one daughter, Faye Walker of Jackson; two sons, Hubert Strachan of North Carrollton, James Strachan of Jackson; four sisters, Thelma Evans of Baton Rouge, La., Flora Noland and Augusta Denley, both of North Carrollton, Maurine Nokes of Greenwood; two brothers, Hester McCluskey and Paul McCluskey, both of North Carrollton; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were George Slocum, Steve Slocum, Charles Holman, J.W. Abel, Joe Beckwith, and Ken Strachan.
Lee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
