LUTHER ELZA OATES, 100, of Woodville died Sept. 5 at his residence. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville with burial in Campground Cemetery near Woodville. A lifelong resident of Tyler County, he was a self-employed farmer. Survivors include sons, Elza Oates, Jr., of Woodville, Johnny Oates of Bryan, and Robert Oates of Huntsville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
