Myrtle E. Pursel, 87, of Bloomsburg R.D.4, formerly of Danville R.D.3, died at the home of her daughter Thursday morning.
Born Feb. 24, 1901, in West Hemlock Township, she was the daughter of the late John and Harriet Kitchen Ande.
Her husband Bruce Pursel died in 1984.
Mrs. Pursel was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Columbia Hill.
Surviving are a son, Lee Pursel, Milton; five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Harriet) Leighow, Millville; Mrs. Melvin (Lavona) Robenolt, Danville; Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Snyder, Millville; Mrs. Daniel (Charlotte) Stark, Danville; Mrs. Jacob (Barbara) Swisher, with who she lived; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lois Wintersteen, Bloomsburg; and Mrs. John (Gladys) Hartman of Camp Hill.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Columbia Hill, with her pastor, the Rev. Glen Sullivan, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brady Funeral Home, Danville.
