He married Ida Caroline Sjolander on Dec. 23, 1928. Jesse and Ida Stainer were married 35 years.
They were the parents of one daughter and one son.

J.J. Stainer To Be Buried Wednesday
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Paul U. Lee Funeral Home for Jesse John Stainer, 67, longtime Baytown resident who died at 7:20 p.m. Monday in a hospital here.
A resident of 6316 Sjolander Road, he was a native of Hortense, Tex. He moved here in 1920.
Stainer was retired from Grace Oil Co. where he was a pumper and gauger. He was a member of the Pruett and Lobit Street Church of Christ and Goose Creek Masonic Lodge No. 1192.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Ida Caroline Stainer; a daughter, Mrs. J. E. Sowders; a son, J. R. Stainer, all of Baytown; two half-brothers, N. R. and J. R. Hickman, both of Leggett, Tex; a half-sister, Mrs. Bryant Bonnetti of Channelview. Also surviving are grandchildren, Carol Lynn Sowders, Earl Ray Sowders, Martin Wayne Stainer and Brenda Rae Stainer, all of Baytown.
W. R. Jones, minister of the Pruett and Lobit Street Church of Christ, will conduct the funeral rites.
