The following Bio was received from Carol Stevens:

Martha Kaufman Brog, 91, died Mar 21 1998. in Logan. Funeral services were held
Wednesday Mar. 25, 1998, in the Freedom Ward chapel under the direction of Bishop
Lex Porter (grandson). She was buried along the side of her late husband Ernest
Brog, who died Dec+ 12, 1985. Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery.
Martha was born in Midway, UT on Sept 2, 1906. She was the second daughter and
third child of Swiss immigrants, Rudolph and Rosina Katrina Durtachi Kaufman.
Martha was raised in Alta, WY, just east of Driggs, ID, along with 11 other
siblings, three boys and eight girls. She married Ernest Brog in Rexburg, ID on
July 25, 1925 and eight children were born of this union. The marriage was later
solemnized in the Logan Temple on April 2, 1985.
Martha was a vital member in the development and functioning of the Star Valley
Swiss Cheese Factory for over 40 years. she was also fundamental in helping her
husband bring EEA Federal Power to Star Valley and surrounding areas. In addition
Martha sold the domestic bread and making equipment of Bosch and Magic Mill.
She was always a faithful and loving wife who taught her children to be likewise.
She served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved
family, cooking, farming and building. She had a special talent for teaching her
young grandchildren how to work and to take responsibility. she was afflicted with
Parkinson's disease for many years prior to her death.
She is survived by seven of her eight children; Frank Brog, Cedar Hills UT; Gayle
Rigler Freedom, Ora Porter, Logan, Roy Brog, Logan, Larry Brog, Salt Lake City; Kea
stock, Freedom and Fred Brog Freedom. brothers and sisters, Ida Kaufman Bybee Boise
ID, Lena Robinson, St George; Beth Webb St George; Isabel Stone Driggs, ID and Ella
Beard, Tetonia, ID 35 grandchildren; 84 great grandchildren and one great great
granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Brog; her parents, one son Paul Ern
Brog, and the following brothers and sisters; Rudolph Kaufman Jr., Rosa Kaufman
Woolley, Arnold Kaufman, Emma Kaufman Jeppesen, Alfred Kaufman and Frieda Kaufman
Brog.
