Larry Brog passed away in his sleep on August 1, 2014 at his home in Olympus Cove.

Born August 7, 1932 in Freedom, Wyoming, the sixth child of eight born to Ernest and Martha Kaufman Brog. Larry was raised in a home in Freedom above the family's Swiss Cheese factory.

He attended Star Valley High School, where he played varsity basketball and dated LaNece Harrison. They were married on September 6, 1951 in the Logan Temple. Larry went on to attend Utah State University while working weekends at the cheese factory and earned a degree in Dairy Science.

He moved his young family to Las Vegas, where he owned a meat shop then became assistant manager for Anderson Dairy. He moved to Sacramento, California, where he became VP of Sales for Intercontinental Chemical Corp. In 1971, he decided to convert the Brog and Hemmert Hardware store in Afton, Wyoming into a gourmet cheese store.

His hopes and dreams were altered when his wife, LaNece, passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Larry married Paula Jojola Amorelli on February 5, 1980. They were sealed in the Jordan River Temple.

Larry was president of Meadow Fresh in Salt Lake City In 1989, while living in Mission Viejo, California, he began work on WaterCenter, a sophisticated water purification dispensing system, this eventually led to the creation of Brog's Product Development, where he continued to invent formulate and work until the day before his unexpected passing.

Larry was an active member of the LDS Church, where he served as an Elder, 70, and High Priest.

He loved ingenuity, work, truth, and people.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Paula; eight children, Terry, David Tony, Jana, Teresa, Anthony, Michele, and Brian; thirty grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy, Frank, and Fred; and sister, Rea. He was preceded by his first wife, LaNece; daughter, Judy; and sisters, Gail and Ora.

Memorial services will be held in the Fortuna Ward Chapel, 4407 South Fortuna Way (3300 East), on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
Larry requested that he be cremated and buried in Freedom, Wyoming.
