A. A. Bruce of Laporte died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday of heart failure. He had been suffering from the complaint for the last year and was thought to have recovered somewhat from a recent illness. Saturday, however, while sitting in his chair at his Laporte home he expired. He was 64 years old.
Mr. Bruce had lived in Laporte for the last two years, having come there from Page, Nebr. He is said always to have been in good health until a year ago. His occupation was farming on his place near Laporte. He leaves surviving him his widow and five sons, Will Bruce, who lives in Geneva, Nebr., but is visiting at the Bruce home in Laporte; Lee Bruce, now in Wyoming; Robert, now in Nebraska, Irvi and Earl Bruce, both of whom lived in Laporte. All but one of the sons is married.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the home in Laporte. Rev. Ralph Hall will conduct the service.
