Irvie A. Bruce, 78, a retired farmer died Nov. 8 at the South Eventide Rest Home, Ft. Collins, Colo. after a long death.
Mr. Bruce was born in Holt County, Nebr. July 25 1885. He grew to manhood on a farm northeast of Page, Nebr. moving to Colorado 44 years ago.
He was married March 1910. His wife Mrs. Maggie M. Bruce died May 15 1954. He married the second time August 5, 1958. He was a member of the LaPorte Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his widow Fila V. Bruce, a brother Lee Bruce, Vallejo, Calif., two step children Mrs. Iola Jensen of Denver and Ray Buskhol of Laramie, two step grandchildren Connie and Cherrie Buskohl, Laramie, and a sister in law, Mrs. Stella Bruce of Ft. Collins, Colo., nieces and nephews are Eleanor Bauer of Jamaica, Iowa, Jean Larson of Geneva, Nebr., Shirley Hill of Greely, Esther Farrell of LaPorte, Marie Mathews of Fort Collins, Ben Bruce of York, Nebr., and Robert McCabe of Eugene, Ore.
Glenn Brolliar conducted the funeral services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Blythe Goodrich Mortuary. Burial at the Grandview Cemetery.
