Funeral services for Alice Ruth Berry will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Hermiston First Christian Church. Burial will follow in Hermiston Cemetery with Burns Mortuary in charge of arrangements. She died on June 23, 2004 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. She was born on January 24, 1920 in Green Forest, Arkansas to Robert Franklin and Eva Idella "Della" (Littrell) Hamon. She was a retired cook from Hermiston Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Eugene Berry, on July 3, 1995; her son, Harold Berry; her brothers, Arthur Wendle Hamon and Lloyd Raymond Hamon; and a grandson. She is survived by her sons, Duane Berry and Dallas Berry, both of Hermiston, Bob Berry of Irrigon, and Ron Berry of Reno, Nevada; her daughter, Joyce Hall of Hermiston; her brothers, David Hamon of Kansas City, Missouri, Carrol Eugene Hamon of Longmont, Colorado, and Gordon William Hamon of Kirbyville, Missouri; her sisters, Alta Mae Cary of Hollister, Missouri, Evelyn Hamon of Salina, Kansas, and Lena Pearl Plott of Nixa, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; and thirty nine great-grandchildren.
