Harris, Mrs. Minnie Alford—Died 11:55 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 1988, at St. Helena Parish Hospital, Greensburg. She was 94, a native and resident of St. Helena Parish.
Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, 6 to 10 p.m. Monday, and 8 a.m. to religious services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Rand Guy and the Rev. Boyd Hood. Burial in Alford Cemetery.
Survived by two sons, Mitch Harris, Baton Rouge, and Glenn Harris, Birmingham, Ala.; a sister, Mrs. Tiny Allen, Kentwood; a brother, Gene Alford, Kentwood; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents; six brothers; and five sisters.
Pallbearers will be Stan and Brian Harris, John Easley, Mark McGregor, Neil and Shelby Alford, Dennis Frazier and Timmy Bates. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. L.E. Stringer, Dr. J.W. Varnado, Morris Easley, Percy Kirby, David Lea and Johnnie Bates.
She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
